Hunter + Shea | Southern Oklahoma

March 18th, 2018

I met Hunter and Shea through my sweet friend Sydney, of Chosen Event Planning. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that Sydney and I have worked on a couple of styled shoots together. So, when she sent me a text to tell me that her best friend was getting married and she was recommending me, I was over the moon! A couple of weeks later, Shea happened to stumble across me on Instagram, then remembered that Sydney had actually recommended me – the rest is history.

Hunter and Shea met five years ago while they were both out dancing. Their first kiss was at Lake Thunderbird, which is also where Hunter proposed. When you first meet the two of them, you can see exactly why God paired them. They are both so soft spoken, yet still very personable. They are so gentle with each other, which speaks greatly of their love for one another.

Our Session

The two of them took me to Southern Oklahoma, to the most beautiful creek nestled on the outside of a small town. Right outside a camp site, we stumbled across the most beautiful miniature waterfall, right in the middle of the creek. The falling water made for the most romantic background noise while the two of them warmed up to the camera. Shortly after, we made our way into the water where we made magic happen with portraits. Shea’s floral dress was the perfect choice for their creekside engagement session. We eventually made our way to the outside of the creek where Shea’s sister and I BOTH happened to walk right through poison ivy (oops! The itch was Seriously – did anyone else know that this helps?!). We ended our session with sunset portraits in a wide open field, and boy are they dreamy!

Hunter + Shea – I am so excited that the two of you chose me to document your big day. It was a blast getting to know you and talking your ears off. I am so excited to see the two of you become one on your wedding day. I’m look forward to capturing your most beautiful moments on the big day.
