A Romantic Sunset Engagement Session in Downtown OKC

March 18th, 2018

Back in August, my dear friend, Claudia, was so excited to tell me that her granddaughter, Alexis, had recently gotten engaged. Alexis and her (then) boyfriend, Logan, had taken a trip to Europe over the summer. They explored Venice, Lake Como, Paris, and Switzerland – but it was in Rome where Logan asked Alexis to marry him. Months after getting engaged, Claudia reached out and told me that Alexis and Logan wanted me to photograph their wedding! I was so excited a few months later to meet up with the two of them for a romantic sunset engagement session in Downtown OKC.

I loved the vision that Alexis had for her engagement session. For her first outfit, we headed to Downtown OKC for a romantic sunset session. I was in absolute awe when I saw her dress – a cream color with beautiful flowy tulle. Alexis is a fashionista, so I was not at all surprised by her gorgeous dress. We found the most beautiful spot for a glowy, golden sunset, then set off to Frontline Church for a clean background.

The big vision that Alexis had was a nighttime session in her white dress that she could use for save the dates. I didn’t think that the dress could get much better, then she steps out in a gorgeous dress with a big bow on the back. And to top it all off – THE SHOES! I will admit…the shoes were smarter than us! Alexis and I could not figure out how on earth to do it. I even ended up on the ground trying to do it! Needless to say though, we got them! The nighttime photos gave off major urban vibes and I’m living for it. Give me all of the nighttime sessions!

I’m so excited for their May wedding at The Plantation at Coal Creek!
