I'm a wife, mama, & teacher. I consider myself a professional Netflixer and an even better napper. I am a Child of God and a firm believer that anything (and everything) good comes from Him. My choice of caffeine comes in the form of Diet Dr. Pepper and/or chocolate. In my free time, I love binge watching 7th Heaven while cuddling with my cats.
My family is everything to me. I love spending my days coloring with my toddler, snuggling with my cats, and watching as many movies as possible with my husband. If you follow along with me, you will see me post constantly about my son, Benjamin, and our two cats, Buddy & Lil Kitty.
I started my photography business in 2016. What began as Prairie Rose Photography, became Megan Lee Photography. The name Megan Lee stems from what is most important to me - my family. Although my name is Megan, my husband and son's middle name is Lee. I wanted my business to be one that is profession, yet meaningful at the same time. My own wedding inspired me to document the emotion that surrounds a wedding day - all the tears, hugs, and laughter. I'm based in Central Oklahoma, but always open (and happy!) to travel to the place where your love story unfolds.
I believe in love at first sight. I met my husband, Brandon, on a hot summer day in 2015. I knew right away I couldn’t spend my life without him. We fell in love, and we fell fast. We said our vows in front of our family and friends in November 2016. Opposites attract, and we are living proof of that. Brandon is a lover of fishing (and all things nature), while I am a lover of modern air conditioning and getting pampered. But our love for each other is as true as it gets, and is strengthened each and every day.
I never knew how strong love could be until God made me a mama. My son, Benjamin, is the light of my life. Being born a month early, Benjamin fought with everything in him. A little lion, as we’ve dubbed him, he’s not let anything hold him back. He’s the orneriest, yet sweetest babe in my world. There is nothing I enjoy more than coloring in a Sesame Street coloring book and building block towers with him.
There is no doubt in my mind that if I never had my son, I would be raising a village of cats. I'm a rescue cat mama. Our oldest floofster is an deaf cat that is slightly obese. He loves to snuggle! Our younger floof is a siamese mix that loves to play and hunt. Cats are probably my spirit animal - lazy, sassy, and super cuddly.
Photography is more than capturing a photo; to MLP, it's about sealing a memory. I photograph couples in love to capture the memories that are most important - engagements, first dances, first baby. My goal is to create a photograph that depicts the memory so clearly that you can look back in fifty years and relive it all over again.
My job as a wedding photographer is to be your right hand (wo)man! Planning a wedding is stressful enough, so I want to do everything I can to help you out. I'm here to plan with you, design with you, laugh with you, cry with you, & walk every step of the way with you. I've got you!
