A Downtown Engagement Session in OKC

March 18th, 2018

One thing I love about photographing weddings is getting to know the family of my couples. Two years ago, I photographed the beautiful Vaclaw wedding. I was fortunate enough to get to know Dixie’s family throughout the wedding process. Now, Dixie’s sister, Savannah, is getting married herself! When Savannah reached out to me with her vision for her session, I was in love. Savannah had envisioned a white dress with white heart shaped glasses, and a wedding veil. They will be having a small ceremony in May, so these were perfect to announce their marriage. When I heard Savannah’s vision, I knew it would make a perfect downtown engagement session.

We started our session off on the streets of Downtown OKC, with elopement style vibes. Savannah and Luke were truly naturals. I always ask my couples if they’ve taken professional photos before, but it was hard to believe that these two never had! We had to dodge a car or ten, but it all worked out gret. Afterwards, we went to the Myriad Gardens for the sunset. The blooming tulips were just the cherry on top of this gorgeous downtown engagement session. I’m so excited for Savannah and Luke’s wedding at the University of Oklahoma in May!
