Every dream starts with a vision. I remember the day I had a vision all about pink. It was a Thursday, the day after a Winter Styled Shoot, and I was thinking of how incredible it was. I was swooning over the images and the creativity of vendors. Typically, as soon as one shoot is over, I start to plan the next. I was scrolling through Pinterest (isn’t that were we all start?!) when I came across the MOST BEAUTIFUL blush wedding gown. Then it hit me – a pretty in pink styled shoot.
The color pink is the perfect amount of feminine and romantic. I created a vision board for this shoot and posted to social media to look for some amazing creatives, when Sydney with Chosen offered to help. Sydney is a wedding and event planner located in Oklahoma. I hadn’t worked with a planner on a styled shoot, so I was so excited. When we met up and shared our ideas and visions, we KNEW it was going to be magical.
Festivities Event Center is located in the heart of El Reno, Oklahoma. Historic and beautiful all at the same time, it was the perfect clean slate to bring an array of pinks into. Rachel, the owner, was incredibly helpful throughout the whole planning process.
Sydney and I knew that we wanted to bring some vintage vibes to the pretty in pink styled shoot to give it the classic feel. With the help of Borrowed & Bleu Co. we were able to make that happen. The stunning table wear absolutely blew me away – the antiqueness, the uniqueness, and the way it complimented the colors. They brought in a variety of vintage tables and the detail of them is to die for. Some of my favorite pieces, though, were the pink vintage furniture pieces – a blush loveseat and a pair of deep pink sweetheart chairs.
The beauty of the shoot would not have been complete without floral. Yours Truly Floral Design took my vision and made it into something more! The variety of pinks that they portrayed, along with the attention to detail, made all of the floral pieces stand out. From centerpieces at the dining table, to a stunning bridal bouquet, the floral was incredible.
Allie’s Baking Boutique provided a beautiful cake. The amount of detail that Allie put into this cake was astounding. The three tiered cake had a base of white, but was wrapped in an edible blush drapery. Allie’s handiwork was amazing – realistic, beautiful, yet simple – the perfect combination.
Sydney and I came across Hanna on Instagram and knew she would be perfect to model for us. Her red hair complimented the blush gown perfectly. She had one of those faces that was meant for modeling, yet she isn’t a model (hello – someone pick this girl up!). Young, yet still beautiful, Hanna was such a joy to be around – lively and kind.
I have to give Sydney all the credit for finding Luke and Anna – our model couple. Recently married, the pair were perfect for the role. I am still swooning over the innocent love these two share. My favorite part of working with the two of them was when Anna told me that the two of them love snuggling. Needless to say, the snuggly images of these two were AMAZING.
We were so thankful that we found such an amazing beauty team to take care of our models. Natasha, with Natasha Rae Artistry, styled these ladies into literal queens. The texture, the detail, the vides – it was all perfect. Hanna’s red locks were styled into a loose, princess braid; Anna’s brown hair was styled into a beautiful updo that was complimented with loose floral.
I cannot give enough credit to Moliere Bridal. The amazing ladies at the OKC bridal shop went above and beyond to make sure the gowns were stunning, and fit our style. Remember the dress I told you inspired me? Well, when I sent that inspo to Sydney and she relayed that message to Moliere, those bridal angels found the EXACT GOWN – the perfect amount of ruffles, lace, and blush. We knew that we wanted to do a traditional white wedding gown as well. I told Sydney and Moliere to surprise me with the style and boy, they know what they’re doing. The white bridal gown was simple, yet stunning. The most amazing part of this dress was the beaded straps (I mean, HEART EYES!!!).
I’m so glad that we were also able to collaborate with two amazing creatives for the bridal accessories. Both brides wore earrings that were handmade by Edera Jewelry. The detail of these earrings was absolutely stunning. When I sent Ivy (Edera Jewelry) a photo of the wedding gowns, she pulled some pieces that would compliment it perfectly. Y’all, this girl knows what she’s doing. In addition, she sent a gorgeous headpiece over that Natasha was able to beautifully weave into Hanna’s hair. Over the Moon Bridal provided veils for our models to wear and I cannot say enough great things about them. They provided us with multiple pieces to choose from: a gorgeous bridal cape, an ivory veil with lace trim, and a breathtaking cathedral veil (which was our favorite, by the way!).
I am so grateful for the amazing vendors that made this pretty in pink styled shoot happen. The way that they took my vision and brought it to life was incredible. I’m so thankful that I have had the opportunity to work with you all and look forward to working together in the future!

[…] Each venue has specific details about it that make it unique, just as your wedding will. Among those details, you will find that certain colors fit better with that venue. When you tour your venue, pay attention to what colors are most prominent. Look at the floors, the walls, the ceilings, light fixtures, and the furniture throughout. Try to visit the venue around the same season in which your wedding will be held. This will help you determine how the landscaping will look, what flowers are in bloom, and what decor (if any) is being used. Some venues, such as The Festivities Event Center, offer a blank canvas that allows you to implement almost any color and it will look amazing. You can see what I did with that blank canvas here. […]
