One of the greatest honors of photographing weddings is the relationships that I’m lucky enough to build with my clients. Often, I try and get to know my couples and who they are, beyond what is necessary for our sessions. I feel like this was the case with Shea + Hunter. We all officially met this summer when we took their engagement photos. Although we only met up that once before the wedding, I truly felt like I knew the pair and their big hearts.
Shea just happens to be best friends with one of my favorite planners, Sydney of Chosen Events. The Pemberton wedding was actually the first real wedding I got to work with Syd (although her styled shoot work is incredible). Let me tell you, she knocked this wedding out of the park. The creativity that was put into the lavender color palette; the detail that was put into the floral arrangements; and the incredible coordinating WHILE being in the wedding! This girl does it all.
Shea + Hunter got married in the same church that Shea’s parents tied the knot years ago. This church holds a special place in this family’s heart, and I’m so thankful I got to photograph the continuation of this special tradition. The reception was help at The Vault, a local art gallery in Paul’s Valley. The gallery was transformed into a gorgeous wedding space accented with touches of the lavender color palette.
The Pemberton wedding was everything I dreamed it would be, and more. From the emotional first look, the amazing taco truck, and abundance of joy, it truly was something of a dream. I’m so happy for the two of you. I know God will bless your marriage with lots of love, laughter, and happiness.
