Sweet Pastels Editorial at Daffodil Hill

March 18th, 2018

Styled shoots are a dream for wedding vendors. Not only do they allow vendors to showcase their talent, but they allow them to tap into their creative side. Sydney, with Chosen Event Planning, and I teamed up again to make another creative vision come to life. Previously, Sydney planned the most beautiful styled shoot, so we were ecstatic to come together again, but this time to highlight the most gorgeous pastel color palette.

The Vendors

The styled shoot took place at the Gorgeous Daffodil Hill. This was the perfect venue for this particular styled shoot because it is perfect for intimate weddings, and gives off total secret garden vibes. The greenery scattered throughout the venue is breathtaking, along with the fountain and various architectures. Daffodil Hill, while already gorgeous, was accented with vintage rentals from Borrowed and Bleu Co. They provided a stunning muted emerald loveseat, as well as several decorative pieces. In addition, The Tipsy Caravan was stationed out back. If you haven’t heard of Tipsy Caravan, they are a traveling mobile bar service. We knew they would be perfect for this shoot. Gorgeous Blooms Floral Design created the most stunning floral pieces ranging from pink to white, with a lot of greenery. She designed a breathtaking ceremony piece, as well as many floral accent pieces.

A beautifully designed wedding is always complete with a custom invitation suite. Amy, with The Letter Box, provided us with a custom invitation suite, as well as envelopes addressed in calligraphy. To say Amy is talented is and understatement. Shelby, with Baking by Shelby, baked and designed a gorgeous wedding cake that accented with floral and a glass vase. What made this cake even more unique is that it was suspended on a swing – HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Our glamour team was nothing short of perfection. Natasha Rae Artistry came out and did hair and makeup. Savannah (Savvy Beauty Co.) and Christi Crig are both associates of Natasha’s and have insane talent when it comes to hair and makeup. Moliere Bridal provided two of the most gorgeous wedding gowns I have ever seen. The detail is these two gowns is breathtaking. Everyman, based in Stillwater, provided incredible attire and details for the groom, included a bohemian hat, various bow ties, and classy shoes. Bella Bridesmaids, who are new to the OKC area, provided three beautiful bridesmaid dresses – pink, blue, and floral.

The Models

Our models, of course, are a huge part of what made our shoot a success. Ell and her husband, Adam, played bride and groom for the day. They recently got married so they were fitting for the part. Hailey, a dancer for the Oklahoma City Thunder, wore the beautiful blue, tulle bridesmaid dress. She was already a professional at the fake laugh, so her portraits were a breeze. Chelsea played the role of a bride. While she hasn’t been a bride yet, she is going to make a gorgeous one some day! She was a natural at the model face and aced posing.

I want to give all of the amazing wedding vendors and models a huge thank you. Without you, this vision wouldn’t have come to life like it did. You’re all incredible!
