Vendor Spotlight | Yours Truly Floral Design

I came across Yours Truly Floral Design months ago as I was scrolling through Instagram. At the time, I was on the hunt for an amazing florist to collaborate on a styled shoot that I was dreaming up. Their team was so on board with my vision, and I knew their style would fit right in with it!

The day of our styled shoot, I loved how personable these ladies were! They were working endlessly to assure that the floral pieces were put together beautifully and efficiently. I’m going to tell you now, I was blown away at the floral design that these ladies came up with. From the perfectly pink bouquet to the elegant floral centerpieces, every part of their creations were perfect!

Tell us about yourselves, and your business journey.

We are the duo that makes up Yours Truly Floral Design, Callie Estes and Shanda Danielson, we run on coffee and Sonic cherry limeades. We are both Oklahoma gals, wives, mothers, and best friends, but before all that, we were teachers at the same elementary school and became roommates. It was during our time as roommates that we discovered our love of floral design. We would arrange flowers for our house and talk about our “dream job” as floral designers. Fast forward to 2016, where we made our dream a reality! Fun fact, Callie’s wedding was our first “gig”…and now here we are with 100 + weddings under our belts… or should we say, floral aprons! We have so much fun meeting with brides, getting to know other vendors, and designing with flowers! We are so glad we took a chance and started Yours Truly Floral Design, what a fun creative outlet we have! I mean, flowers make everyone happy, right?!

Talk to us about the services you provide.

If you can put a flower on it, we provide it! haha Weddings are our biggest passion, but we enjoy providing flowers for every occasion- birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc. We’ve even started doing floral classes and hold annual Christmas wreath making classes. As far as pricing goes, our personal floral items (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, etc.) have standard set prices, but it is hard to give a set price for other items, like centerpieces or arbor installations, it totally depends on what the bride is wanting, its subjective. We definitely believe that EVERY budget deserves pretty flowers!

What’s the biggest piece of advice you could give a bride?

Don’t be scared to take a risk or think outside the box with your flowers and your color scheme, being “on trend” may seem fun now, but everyone’s weddings start to look the same. You do you!

What would your dream bouquet look like?

Callie would go with a bouquet of romantic colors, full of peonies and garden roses. For Shanda, it’s all about the color combo. At this moment, she would go with mustard yellow (roses, ranunculus, billy balls) and white (peonies, garden roses, tulips), with brighter greenery (lemon leaf and ruscus), and a blue and white chinoiserie ribbon.

What sets Yours Truly Floral Design apart from other florists?

There are 2 of us! You get two “lead designers”. We complement each other nicely and each have our niche!…Give Shanda all the bouquets and give Callie all the compote centerpieces.
