A Western Engagement Session at the Fort Worth Stockyards

March 18th, 2018

I’ve known Kaylee for many years. She and I worked together at the local skating rink back when we were both in high school. Since then, we have both graduated and Kaylee has moved to Texas and gotten engaged to a great man, Hunter. So, I was honored when Kaylee reached out to let me know that she was considering me to be her wedding photographer. She and Hunter have a sweet love for each other. The two of them enjoy dancing together at Billy Bob’s at the Stockyards, so it only made sense that they have their western engagement session at the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Their Engagement Session at the Fort Worth Stockyards

Kaylee’s first outfit was very much bridal chic meets western girl. She dressed in a silk, white dress with bows, and paired it with her white cowboy boots. We started our session in front of Hotel Drover which offered a classy, western feel. She and Hunter are just naturally comfortable around each other, so it was easy to photograph them. Hunter twirled her and snuggled up with her, and she just sank into his arms.

Kaylee’s second outfit, and my FAVORITE, was a denim on denim look, paired with a silk, white blouse, and a gorgeous white hat. This outfit paired great with the longhorn car at the Stockyards. It offered a more western vibe, but still fit that chic feeling that Kaylee desired. We ended the night by walking around the Stockyards, and the two of them sharing a drink at the local bar. I cannot wait for their wedding in May!
