A Spring Wedding at the Bella Donna

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Kacie and Shane over the course of the past year. When Kacie and Shane first booked me to photograph their wedding at the Bella Donna, I was so excited to capture their vision. I met up with the two of them last spring and we took their engagement photos at the Wildlife Refuge, and went out for dinner afterwards. Kacie and Shane are so personable, and such kind people. It was like meeting up with some friends! That fall, I was lucky enough to get to take some more portraits of these two. By the time the wedding rolled around, I genuinely felt like I was showing up to my friends’ wedding.

Their Vendors

Kacie and Shane held their wedding at the Bella Donna in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They had a beautiful, late spring wedding with tones of cream and blush. Their vision was executed by the talented Okie Floral Co. Their floral design was a beautiful display of romanticism. Kacie’s bridal look was soft and classic with makeup done by Sarah and Pretty and Posh, and hair done by Bailee Johnson. Kacie’s dress was from Ellis Bridal and her shoes were Gianni Bini. All of the groom and groomsmen attire was from Men’s Wearhouse, while the stunning, blush bridesmaid dresses were from Show Me Your Mumu.

Their Wedding Day

By the time Kacie and Shane’s wedding day came, it was truly a labor of love. Kacie had spent a little over a year preparing for this big day. As she and her girls arrived, I was working on Kacie’s stunning details. Her main color, blush, was accentuated throughout the venue – from floral pieces in the chapel to the details in the reception space. One of my favorite pieces from the Shipman wedding was the unique newpaper featuring Kacie and Shane neatly placed at each table setting. Shane’s face lit up when he saw his bride walk down the aisle, and even shed a tear or two. The two of them tied the knot in the chapel surrounded by their family and friends. After taking portraits, the two of them shared a special dance, and listened to toasts that made them laugh, and even cry.
