Colorful, Boathouse Wedding in OKC

March 18th, 2018

When Morgan reached out to me late last year about photographing her boathouse wedding, I instantly adored her and her fiance, Alex (even before I met them). Morgan & Alex have been together for ten year. She had a vision of a sweet and simple wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends. She had envisioned a brunch wedding, with an intimate ceremony.

The Dream Team

Morgan had a wedding dream team for her big day at the Devon Boathouse in Oklahoma City. Faithful Events Co. took the lead with the planning, and they did not disappoint. Valerie, along with her team, beautifully coordinated the wedding day and kept everything running smoothly. Ribbon & Blooms Floristry crafted the florals for the wedding day, and it was some of the most beautiful floral pieces I’ve ever seen. Their team truly has an eye for design and aesthetic.

Morgan’s wedding day look was simple, yet stunning. Her wedding dress, from Essence of Australia, truly made my draw drop the moment I saw it. The detail in the dress was simply phenomenal. Morgan paired her gown with a pair of Badgley Mishka heels that were to die for. Her beauty team consisted of Megan Roy doing her hair in a classic loose curl, and Gaby Makeup Artistry doing a stunning, light makeup look.

Their Big Day

Morgan & Alex’s day was truly beautiful. They were surrounded by their closest family and friends while they said their vows to one another. Both of their families brought to the ceremony traditions that were native to their cultures, which made this wedding even more special. Rococo catered their brunch reception, serving traditional breakfast foods and a mimosa bar. They shared a special dance with each other, followed by their parents. They were both showered with kind words during the toasts, then said goodbye in a getaway car.
