Kayla & Kyle | OKC Engagement Session

March 18th, 2018

Kayla & Kyle have known each other for years…since high school actually! The two of them went on a date, but never spoke again – that is, until years later. After reconnecting in college, becoming friends, being in other relationships, they were finally ready to be together.

Will Rogers Gardens

Kayla & Kyle had a vision for their engagement portraits from the moment they booked with me. They loved the conservatory at Will Rogers Gardens and it fit Kayla’s personality as a plant lady perfectly. After meeting up with them, I came to find out that they had actually toured the conservatory as a possible wedding venue, so it was just perfect that we did their portraits there. Afterwards, we had planned to do some portraits in the garden area, but that Oklahoma weather had other plans for us. We were able to get just a few portraits in before it started raining!

Braum’s

A few weeks before their engagement session, Kayla came to me with such a sweet and unique idea. She and Kyle wanted to do some portraits at Braum’s where they had their first date. I was immediately on board! It’s so important to me that anytime I take your portraits they tell a story. So, choosing a meaningful location is a big part of that story. Although it was still raining and it had become gloomy outside, the portraits at this location were unique and special to this sweet couple.
