A Classic Black & White Wedding at The Mayo Hotel

March 18th, 2018

Getting to witness the union of Haley and Joe felt like a long time coming. When I first met these two, they had just postponed their forever due to COVID. The pair got to spend an entire quarantine together, learning each other on a deeper level than they already had. Despite the pandemic and the postponement of their wedding, nothing but optimism came from Haley and Joe. They had a stunning wedding, followed up by a reception at The Mayo Hotel.

On October 10, their happily ever after finally arrived, and it was nothing short of perfect! The two of them got ready at the incredible Mayo Hotel. Their wedding theme was a classic black tie event, so the Mayo was the perfect place to start. Haley was dressed in a Mikaella bridal gown from Lulu’s Bridal Boutique, while Joe was dressed in a tuxedo from The Black Tux. Wedding party attire came from Bella Bridesmaids and The Black Tux. After getting ready, we took a party bus to the First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa where the two would have their ceremony.

The Ceremony at First Presbyterian

Haley and Joe wed at the same church she had grown up in, and that her parents still currently attended. It was a historic, and beautiful, church. The ceremony was beautiful, with singing, prayers, and many happy tears. It finally happened – they were officially Mr. and Mrs. Joe Drago!

The Reception at The Mayo Hotel

This classic themed wedding reception was held back at The Mayo, which was beautifully decorated with eucalyptus and white roses from the Tulsa Blossom Shoppe. I am so glad that these two sweet souls were able to celebrate in a room filled with all of their family and friends! Witnessing the love that everyone has for these two was simply beautiful. The kind words said about them described them perfectly. The night was filled with laughter, tears, and calling of the Hogs! The Surface-Drago wedding KNEW how to party!
