Vendor Spotlight | Jessica Ann Hair

I met Jessica, with Jessica Ann Hair, last winter when I was searching for a hairstylist. I had been planning a winter themed styled shoot since JULY. As soon as I got the idea in my head, I started planning. I knew that I wanted my model to have a romantic, and soft hairstyle. If you have followed my work for a while, you know I thrive off of romantic hairstyles – loose braids, soft curls, it’s all my thing.

I followed Jessica’s work and knew that she would fit the romantic hair styling that I was dreaming of. The day of the shoot, she had a great eye for hair. I literally didn’t have to tell her what I wanted. It was like she just knew! It’s been half a year, and I’m still obsessing over this hairstyle.

Tell us about yourself!

I’m a wife, mama, and business owner. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. Together, we have three boys who like to keep us on our toes. I am co-owner of my second home, AnnElyse Salon & Spa in Bethany, OK.

Talk to us about the services you provide. What is the average cost?

At AnnElyse I work behind the chair offering color and cutting services, special event hair styling and I’m certified in hand-tied extensions. On the terms of bridal hair average cost is $80/style. All other services vary!

I graduated from Duncan Brothers School of Hair Design in 2009 and received my license in barbering. In 2015, after building a solid clientele and becoming more confident in my profession, my best friend Jenna and I decided to open our own salon. Within the salon, we built a bridal team. A one stop shop for all of our Oklahoma brides. Working with brides has become my favorite part about my job. I love getting to know their story and being apart of their big day. 

What’s the biggest piece of advice you could give a bride?

A piece of advice I could extend to my brides about their wedding hair is choose a style you will feel most comfortable in. I want you to feel beautiful and confident walking down that aisle!

What sets Jessica Ann Hair apart from other hairstylists?

That’s tough because there are so many stylists I look up to. I would say that I strive to keep learning and growing. If there is a style I’m unsure of, I practice and practice before hand so I know I’m going to be on my A-game day of. I study how a style is created and practice until I’m confident and satisfied.
