Vendor Spotlight | The Grand Canadian Theater

Last week, I had the privilege of touring The Grand Canadian Theater, Purcell’s most historic, and elegant, wedding venue. I had seen so many photos with the iconic marquee outside which originally sparked my interest in the venue. What truly captivated me was how the owners took this former movie theater and turned it into a high scale wedding venue.

The first thing that stuck out to me was the welcoming introduction I received from Gisela, the venue’s owner. She was so kind and inviting; I immediately felt at home. The GCT had multiple grandeur chandeliers scattered throughout their venue. From the ceremony/reception area, to the bridal suite, these light fixtures added the perfect touch of elegant.

Lounging Areas

As Gisela led us on a tour throughout the Grand Canadian Theater, I couldn’t help but to snap as many photos as possible. They have so many lounging areas that it’s impossible to not feel welcome here. One of my favorite lounging areas was located on the second floor. With gorgeous blue walls, and the comfiest sofa, I had fallen in love with this area.

The Groom’s Suite

I have never seen a groom’s suite that was so well suited to a group of gentlemen. I have found that during most of the wedding morning, the groom and his guys are typically hanging out and having fun. The groom’s suite has a projector, a personal bar, and three home theater styled recliners. It is the perfect spot for the gentlemen to kick back, relax, and prepare for a great night!

The Bridal Suite

The bridal suite ended up being my absolute favorite part of the venue. With natural light shining through, the suite looked as if it belonged in a movie. Hollywood-Like vanity lights surrounded the main mirror as you walk in. The bride had her own nook in the suite, complete with her own vanity as well. Gisela went above and beyond with making this room feel like home. From champagne to the decorative pillows, this is the ultimate bridal palace. Plus, it was definitely giving all the Kate Spade vibes!

The Bar Area

We took a look at the bar area last, and I was taken aback by ANOTHER gorgeous chandelier. The bar reminded me of a time when you could pick up a delicious cocktail and head back to your seat just in time to catch a jazz band playing. It’s a perfect mixture of timeless and sophisticated. It’s the perfect spot for a groom to hang out with his guys right before the walk down the aisle.
