A Barbie Inspired Portrait Session

March 18th, 2018

Sometimes I run across couples and I think to myself: wow, they really look like _______. Sometimes they look like someone I knew in high school and sometimes they look like celebrities. When Faith and Steven showed up to the University of Oklahoma campus, I couldn’t believe how much they looked like Barbie and Ken. Faith’s perfectly styled blonde hair complimented her pink Barbie-like dress. Steven was dressed to the nines in his suit. They were literally B&K on date night.

We started out session at the Bizzell Library on the OU Campus. The architecture of the campus reminded me of knights and castles. It was forecasted to rain, but was dry as could be with cloud overhead.

Afterward, we headed out to Greenhouse Inc. in Norman. This is one of my favorite locations to shoot because the plants are gorgeous and the staff is warm and welcoming. Plus, I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life, so it’s nice to see living plants. Faith and Steven changed outfits and we went into the most colorful bunch of blooms we could find. I got all of the springy vibes! For their last outfit, we would into the greenery portion of the greenhouse. Here, you could find succulents and any type of greenery imaginable.

The pair were naturals in front of my camera. I’m pretty sure Faith was a model in her past life, and if she wasn’t, she should be in this one!
