Portraits in the Paseo District

I started talking with Courtney months ago about a session at the Paseo District for her and Russ. I loved how down to earth and stylish she was, and I knew that we would be a perfect fit. Courtney is an Instagram Blogger and shares everything from fashion to to beauty tips. While her tips and tricks are great, I have to admit that my favorite posts of hers are those of her dog, Ryder!

Courtney and Russ are both down to earth people. They were honestly some of the easiest people to talk to. We had great conversations from our homes to our jobs. I always know it’s going to be a great time when I connect with my clients; and almost immediately, I connected with the two of them.

After being around the pair for a short amount of time, I could tell that the two of them were wildly in love. Russ’s professional nuzzles always brought out the sweet and shy giggles of Courtney. The differences between the two of them are what make them perfect together!

Our Session

We started our session at the Montellano Event Center. We were all astonished at how gorgeous the landscaping of this hidden gem. It was the perfect amount of Tuscany right here in Oklahoma. The trees that lined the front of the venue appeared exotic (well, exotic in the way that we had no clue what they were) and the blooms stood out with their bright color. Courtney planned their outfits with this Tuscan location in mind, and they did not disappoint. I loved the way that her floral dressed flowed in the small amount of wind we had.

For our second location, we strolled the streets of the Paseo Arts District. If you have never been here, it is something worth visiting, even if only to look around. This historic area was the first shopping district in downtown Oklahoma City. Now, it houses multiple shops, eateries, and art galleries. I love the bohemian vibes that surround this entire district. From the scattered cacti to the vibrant buildings, it is unique in all the right ways.
